These handmade earrings were crafted from polymer clay and made to imitate rusty copper with a layer of patina. This distress technique, known as Adi's Shade Distress was created by me over 10 years ago. The earrings feature a flower doodle pattern and are shaped into oval discs.
These beautiful earrings are a tromp l’oeil that will have many a friends wonder what they were made from.
The discs measure approx. 1 3/4 in or approx. 4.4 cm
The base has been wet-sanded before it was accented with acrylics. I also have washed them with a layer of clear gloss to protect them for the external environment.
The earrings are in a matching copper shade. I use non-hypoallergenic French wire.
