Flower maze polymer clay signature bib necklace in oxidized copper and patina

This handcrafted polymer clay necklace looks like it has been exposed to the unforgiving forces of both weather and time. It is aged, it is distressed, the alloy of bronze and copper has rusted and has been covered with verdigris. Yet in spite - or because - of it, it looks just as beautiful, unique, and regal, if not more.

This necklace will be a great addition to your accessories. I am wearing mine with a denim dress and it looks gorgeous. You can, however, pair to your fancy and it will look just as good.

The inner circumference of the necklace is 17 in or 36 cm (approx.)

All items are handcrafted with the greatest attention to detail.

= About polymer clay =
Polymer clay is a relatively new material. It is sold in blocks with a soft consistency similar to play-dough, but once cured, the clay hardens. Depending on clay brand, type of design, and processing, it can be very hard or semi-flexible. Most of the items in my collection such as cuffs and bib necklaces are semi-flexible so they are easy to put on. They are light and comfortable to wear, but quite sturdy. A polymer clay item can of course break, but I use a technique that makes them stronger and more resistant than what you can usually purchase.

My polymer clay items are finished with acrylics, mica powders, and other materials after being cured, and are coated with clear gloss to protect them. In the titles you will see described the colors of the items. A piece described as a copper polymer clay item is not made of copper, it is crafted of polymer clay so as to resemble copper in appearance.
