This signature handmade cuff was crafted from polymer clay and made to imitate rusty copper with a layer of patina. The cuff is featuring an abstract flowery pattern and is a tromp l’oeil that will have many a friend wonder what it was made from.

The cuff bracelet is made entirely from polymer clay. It imitates metal thanks to the techniques involved in its creation.
The base colors are rusty copper and bronze accented with a patina. The choice of colors and techniques used render the cuff its antiquated, distressed effect.

The cuff measures 7 in (circumference) x 2 in (width) or 17.8 cm x 5 cm (approximately). The cuff is open in the back so you can easily slide your hand in and it closes with a magnetic clasp - as all my cuffs do - for maximum comfort and security.

I would be happy to hear from you and answer your questions regarding this item.

= About polymer clay =
Polymer clay is a relatively new material. It is sold in blocks with a soft consistency similar to play-dough, but once cured, the clay hardens. Depending on clay brand, type of design, and processing, it can be very hard or semi-flexible. Most of the items in my collection such as cuffs and bib necklaces are semi-flexible so they are easy to put on. They are light and comfortable to wear, but quite sturdy. A polymer clay item can of course break, but I use a technique that makes them stronger and more resistant than what you can usually purchase.

My polymer clay items are finished with acrylics, mica powders, and other materials after being cured, and are coated with clear gloss to protect them. In the titles you will see described the colors of the items. A piece described as a copper polymer clay item is not made of copper, it is crafted of polymer clay so as to resemble copper in appearance.

Sizing details

All items, except cuffs that use blanks as support, can be customized, usually at no further cost.

Estimated time of shipping

Many of my items are made to order, except one-of-a-kind listings. None of my items is mass produced, manufactured or for resale (as it is the case of many Etsy shops). Handmade work requires time, effort, and a lot of love and hence there is a wait time of 2 to 3 weeks. All one-of-a-kind items are ready to ship in 1 to 3 days.
Thank you very much for your interest and understanding!

Earrings wires

I purchase all my earring wires from craft stores. They are nickel-free, but are not specifically listed as hypoallergenic. These earring wires may not be the best option for you if you have very sensitive ears.

I can replace earring hooks with earring clip-ons if requested in advance.

Photos

All photos are taken by me. I am not a photographer so generally these fall short of representing the beauty of the real item. Also colors, though very close to reality, may differ in shade and luminosity.

Transfer image copyright

In my collection you will find several image transfer technique items which were created using my own image transfer technique, but with images that are not my own. In this case, copyright is clearly stated and items were created according to the copyright owner's policy. This allows me to use their image for personal and small commercial use, up to 150 times each item, as long as the image is used for tangible items and is not resold as is.
